Jesus Manifesto - Leonard Sweet & Frank Viola

Jesus Manifesto fits in with the new tend in christian non-fiction by explain what the church and or Christians are doing wrong and how to fix it. This one in particular talks about how we need to clean out all the clutter we have put with Christianity and focus on the thing that really matters, Jesus. Though the concept was great, this book reads like a high school research paper. They put a short quote of the bible or some well know figure, then they elaborate on it. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that the quotes are so short. It seems to me that these quotes could have easily been taken out of context and used to fit the subject they they are talking about at the time. Overall the book wasn't bad. It had some excellent points and subjects that really hit home, but it's not very well put together and it would be easy to find a book on this subject that was better written.
