Out Live Your Life by Max Lucado

The best thing about Max Lucado is when he writes it feels like he is talking to you. In his somewhat intrepretation of the book of Act, Max Lucado shows us how to live life to the fullest. In a world where it is too easy to become comfortable, we need to find motivation to "out live" our lives. Max shows that we are the hands and feet of God and we should act like it. It has become too easy to get overwhelmed and feel like we can't do anything. This book shows how even the little things matter. Lucado goes to say that we need to set fear aside and just follow the Lord. Don't fool yourself into thinking that half heart outreach will work. No matter how big or small you must put your whole self into it. "Out Live You Life" was a very motivational book to me. Throw in Max Lucado's impecable writing ability and you have yourself a great read. This book is very good and not telling you what you are doing wrong, but instead telling you what you can do to make it right.

I Am Hutterite by Mary-Ann Kirkby

First off I would like to start by saying, I love to read biographies. I love to read about different cultures and how other people live. I Am Hutterite is a true story about how Mary-Ann Kirkby grew up in a Hutterite community. The writer is very good at painting a picture for you. At times I felt like I was standing next to her, rather than reading a book. The imaging is phenominal and is full of stories that will tug at your heart strings. Whether you like to learn about other cultures or not, I Am Hutterite is a great read. I would reccomed this book to anyone. This book is full of conflict, happiness, friendship, and life lessons. This book is great for any person and any age.

Love on a Dime by Cara Lynn James

"Love on a Dime" is the first novel written by Cara Lynn James. This book is set in 1899, and is about a well to do lady who is trying to hide the fact that she writes dime novels. The story gets interesting when an old flame who broke her heart buys her publishing company.
For me this book was hard to get into, but by the second chapter I was hooked. There was enough twists and turns in this book to keep you interested, and the author stays one step ahead of you the whole time. I would definitely recommend this book, and I can't wait to see what James comes out with next.

This book was provided to me free from Thomas Nelson, and this was my opinion of the book."

Jesus Manifesto - Leonard Sweet & Frank Viola

Jesus Manifesto fits in with the new tend in christian non-fiction by explain what the church and or Christians are doing wrong and how to fix it. This one in particular talks about how we need to clean out all the clutter we have put with Christianity and focus on the thing that really matters, Jesus. Though the concept was great, this book reads like a high school research paper. They put a short quote of the bible or some well know figure, then they elaborate on it. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that the quotes are so short. It seems to me that these quotes could have easily been taken out of context and used to fit the subject they they are talking about at the time. Overall the book wasn't bad. It had some excellent points and subjects that really hit home, but it's not very well put together and it would be easy to find a book on this subject that was better written.

Storm Warning – Billy Graham

I have been interested in the end times for as long as I can remember, and when I heard that Billy Graham was writing a book on this topic I was thrilled. Who better to teach you something, then the great Billy Graham? This updated and revised copy of Storm Warning really puts into perspective how close we are to the end. Graham shows how events today line up with the events predicted in the Bible to be the end times. He doesn’t try to sugar coat the news; he gives it to you straight forward. Overall this was a great read, and keeps your attention the whole time. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in what is to come.
